Hi, I’m Nicole Broady, the designer and owner behind Tiny Blooms Cottage.

What started with a love of gardening, a few seeds, and a little curiosity eventually grew into a floral design business I never expected to build. I’ve always loved growing things, but I fell in love with flowers in a different way when I discovered how much they could shape the feeling of a moment. A bouquet could make someone pause. A table could completely change with the right flowers. And the smallest detail could make an event feel personal.

That idea became the foundation for Tiny Blooms Cottage: tiny details make a big impact.

My path to floral design wasn’t exactly traditional. Before Tiny Blooms Cottage, I worked in wedding coordination, nonprofit and corporate special events, where I learned to appreciate the details that make an event not only beautiful, but also well planned and enjoyable for the people experiencing it. Floral design became the perfect way to bring together the creative and logistical sides of what I love.

Today, I design wedding and event florals from my little home studio in Port Orchard, Washington—our “cottage.” I serve couples throughout Kitsap County and the greater Seattle area, creating florals that feel personal, thoughtfully considered, and naturally beautiful.

My designs are inspired by the season, with an emphasis on movement, texture, soft color, and flowers that feel gathered rather than overly arranged. I love romantic garden-inspired bouquets, unexpected color combinations, beautiful foliage, and those little details that make you look twice. Whenever possible, I also love incorporating flowers from local growers alongside blooms sourced from trusted floral wholesalers.

One of my favorite parts of being in the wedding industry has been the people I’ve met along the way. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside some incredibly talented vendors, and many of those professional relationships have grown into genuine friendships. That sense of community is something I value deeply, and it’s one of the reasons I love being part of this industry.

It’s also why I enjoy hosting floral workshops. I love creating the kind of experiences I enjoy sharing with my own friends—flowers on the table, good conversation, something beautiful to take home, and plenty of laughter along the way.

Outside the studio, I’m a wife and mom, and family is at the heart of my life. I’m married to Ty, a retired Navy veteran, and together we’re raising our son. Building Tiny Blooms Cottage alongside my family has made this business feel like much more than a business. It’s something that has grown with us.

And there is one thing you should probably know about me: coffee is non-negotiable when it’s time to pick up flower orders. There’s something about a coffee in hand, a car full of flowers, and the beginning of a design day that never gets old.

I’m incredibly grateful that this little idea has grown into a way to be part of some of life’s most meaningful celebrations. From an intimate elopement bouquet to a wedding filled with flowers, I never take it for granted that I get to create something that will be remembered long after the last bloom fades.
